School visits

School visits
The Maison du Bois et de la Forêt welcomes nearly 3000 school groups per year (snow classes and green classes, leisure centers, local schools, etc.). School visits are possible all year round except in November.
A visit by a group of schoolchildren is structured around 3 key moments:
A participatory activity in the form of fun exchanges and questions and answers with the class: learning about tree species, differentiating between deciduous and coniferous trees, counting tree rings, learning about forestry professions…
Self-guided tour of the Maison du Bois & de la Forêt museum .
The woodturning demonstration at the carpentry workshop, in the presence of the carpenter who makes an object live and also addresses the topic of woodworking training, through his passionate perspective.
Audience: This activity is particularly suitable for cycle 3. For younger children, a more sensory activity is offered (singing, storytelling, mimes…).
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes
Price: School package and classes at €90/class up to 25 children then €3 extra per additional student - personalized quote on request.
